And what are we all
If not just machines?
Sweet sweet chemicals,
Conniving in our veins,
In our hearts,
And in the ticking machines
Placed on stems
That take root
In the deepest parts of all
What are we all
If not just beauty
The colors
The melodies
The bloodshed and tears
Oh what are we all
If not tiny things
In a world not so nice
And by no means so tiny
I'll tell you what we are
If not just machines
But first you must answer me this:
Is there a difference,
Really?
If not just machines?
Sweet sweet chemicals,
Conniving in our veins,
In our hearts,
And in the ticking machines
Placed on stems
That take root
In the deepest parts of all
What are we all
If not just beauty
The colors
The melodies
The bloodshed and tears
Oh what are we all
If not tiny things
In a world not so nice
And by no means so tiny
I'll tell you what we are
If not just machines
But first you must answer me this:
Is there a difference,
Really?
Your chemicals are calling. Go to them

If that is how you define humanity, then indeed we live with the chemicals of our physical elements. But, if you side with the perfect idea of machines, then what more can be asked?
